The EIZO GmbH has more than 50 years of experience in imaging technology products and visualization solutions, starting with early television and camera technology as part of Siemens AG up to the most modern complete solutions in medical industry under the roof of EIZO.
1956: The imaging department at Siemens AG in Karlsruhe, Germany, develops and produces the first televisions.
1960: Enters the medical sector with the first medical television monitoring system.
1990: Develops and produces medical CRT monitors for X-ray systems.
2000: Expands its market activity and portfolio: Customer-specific displays are produced both for internal needs as well as for medical OEMs worldwide.
2007: International Japanese monitor manufacturer EIZO takes over the entire medical imaging technology business unit of Siemens AG. EIZO GmbH is founded as a subsidiary of the EIZO Corporation with headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany.
2008: With large-format monitors and its entry into video management, EIZO GmbH offers complete solutions for modern hospital installations.
2013: Enters the market for OR imaging equipment. The branch office in Plauen, Germany, is established. Under the new CuratOR brand, new products and complete solutions are bundled for the integrated OR, hybrid OR and control room.
2016: With the aquisition of Endoscopy Monitor Business from Panasonic Healthcare by EIZO Corporation, EIZO GmbH can offer entire range of medical displays also for visual Endoscopy applications
2019: EIZO GmbH headquarter is moving from Siemens Technology Park in Karlsruhe to its own new building in Ruelzheim
